No data protection officer has been appointed, because the statutory conditions under Art. 37 GDPR are not met.
2. Hosting and server logs
This website is delivered statically via Cloudflare Pages. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare acts as our processor under Art. 28 GDPR; a data processing addendum is in place.
When you access the site, the host processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, page retrieved, browser type) in server logs. The purpose is technically fault-free operation and protection against misuse; the legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in secure, stable operation). The host deletes the server logs automatically after a short time; we do not evaluate them and do not build profiles from them.
Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the USA. A transfer of personal data to the USA therefore cannot be ruled out. It relies on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 para. 2 lit. c GDPR and, where applicable, on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework under Art. 45 GDPR.
3. Storage on your device, no cookies before consent
This website sets no cookies — and stores nothing comparable on your device — without your explicit consent. There are no analytics or advertising tools and no embeds of social networks. Fonts are served from our own domain (self-hosted) — there is no fetching from font CDNs such as Google Fonts.
One exception applies to the map consent you have given (section 4): we store only the consent value locally in your browser, so that the map is not loaded again on your next visit. This storage is strictly necessary to provide you with the function you expressly requested, and is therefore permitted without renewed consent under § 25 para. 2 no. 2 TDDDG.
4. Google Maps (interactive map)
On the contact page we embed an interactive map. The map is loaded only after your explicit consent: only when you click “Load the map” does your browser connect to Google — no data is transferred to Google before that. When it loads the browser transfers your IP address to Google; Google may derive your approximate location from it.
The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A transfer to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out. Google’s own privacy notices apply to that processing: https://policies.google.com/privacy
The purpose of the embed is a convenient directions sketch; the legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TDDDG. Consent is stored exclusively locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our server. You can revoke it at any time via the × symbol on the map; after revocation the map is removed from the page.
5. Contacting us
If you call us or send us an email, we process your details (phone number or email address, name and concern) exclusively to answer your enquiry; no disclosure to third parties takes place. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (entering into or performing a contract) or, for an enquiry without contractual context, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in answering your enquiry). The data is deleted once your concern is completed and no statutory retention periods prevent this — earlier at any time on request.
6. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
7. Your rights
You have the right of access at any time (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR); the lawfulness of the processing carried out until then is unaffected.
You may also lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR) — in North Rhine-Westphalia this is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen (LDI NRW).
For data-protection matters, please use the contact details under section 1.
